Hi friends, foes, and everyone in between! What's goin on? Today we've got something a little more spicy comin at ya, it's project pitching day!
So "Randos", what is it, where'd it come from, why do you need it? Well to start, no, it's not that weird guy from the bar last night who kept going on and on about his pet rock collection. Randos is an app meant to tone down the drama and turn up the participation.
The idea comes straight from an F&B background. It's the slow season so naturally restaurants are putting too many people on "just in case" while ultimately cutting someone early, or calling them off entirely. Well you can imagine how much drama that may incite amongst the food and bev folk. That's where Randos comes in. An admin type user is able to add profiles to a list, add a plethora of categories to said profile, and input information that allows Randos to make a more fair yet still random decision.
Think of it as big ol' freshly baked, steaming pie. Too descriptive? How about a Twister
spinner wheel? Well Joe worked 30 hours this week and John worked 10. Based on this information John's piece of the pie (spinner wheel) would be much bigger than Joe's. But Joe only made $350 this week while John got lucky and walked with $800 (seriously, where are these guys working?). Randos would then adjust how big their piece of the wheel would be based on this information as well. After the admin is finished adding all the relevant information, they would simply press a button and the wheel would spin thus providing a manager type with a more fair yet still random approach to making a decision on who's working and who's going home to their pet rocks.
But the fun doesn't stop there, no! Randos isn't only intended for use by managers in restaurants. It can be used for all sorts of situations. Randos can decide who's hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, who's turn it is to change that poopy diaper, who gets to sleep in the cozy bed at grandma's house and who's getting the couch. All of these and more can be decided due to Randos' customizable categories and generalized algorithm.
